Under a new mandate from Governor Rick Scott, all assisted living facilities must now have a generator and ready fuel source. This is part of emergency action to keep Floridians safe in healthcare facilities during emergencies. Specifically, this new mandate requires that eldercare facilities have generators capable of maintaining facility temperatures at or below 80 degrees and 96 hours worth of fuel.
