Chesapeake Utilities Corporation Donating $200,000 to Support Communities During Coronavirus Response
To Our Customers:
During this incredibly difficult time, we know the natural gas, propane and electric services Chesapeake Utilities Corporation and our subsidiaries deliver are essential to your homes, businesses and industries.
It is equally important to us that we continue to take steps to help protect the health and well-being of our customers, employees and communities.
We recognize the personal impact and uncertainty this unprecedented situation may have on our customers. That’s why we took steps early on to suspend service disconnections and waive late payment fees for our customers. We also created a customer landing page with information and updates on the Company’s coronavirus response. Customers are encouraged to visit www.CHPKResponds.com.
Chesapeake Utilities is committed to helping support our customers and communities, especially those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We recently announced that the Company (including our subsidiaries) will be donating $200,000 to organizations supporting communities impacted by the spread of the coronavirus.
These donations will support organizations such as Feeding America, United Way and The Salvation Army as they provide food assistance, financial resources and address short-term and long-term community needs.
For years, Chesapeake Utilities has also supported our customers through our SHARING program, a nonprofit organization that provides funds to our natural gas and propane gas customers living on the Delmarva Peninsula who need financial assistance to pay their natural gas and propane bills.
I’m proud to announce a special SHARING program grant that is now available to customers who have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers can see if they qualify by applying for a one-time grant on our SHARING website at www.chesapeakesharing.com.
At Chesapeake Utilities, we care about the communities we serve. Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by the virus. We appreciate your confidence and trust in our actions during this unique time. We will get through this together.
Stay healthy and well.
Sincerely
Jeff Householder
